Remember the Powerpuff girls from cartoon network. Well, I guess they are still showing it, but it has been a while since I tuned in…

Hey curkendall, nice job on these. We have similar approaches to this toy set…I am pretty sure these are photographs of your object with filters over then which is what I did for mine as well. One difference between ours is the background. For this set I had decided to have a rug as the background for one and a keyboard for another.
This project has helped me gain a better understanding of how to take something simple, maybe even boring, and make it great. There are endless opportunities…draw it, photograph it, make a sketch on the computer, put filters on it etc. Because of this it has become one of my favorite projects this quarter.
I like the second one (on the bottom) because you can get an idea of what the object is without it being obvious. I also like the filter, it looks sea glass- the color is dulled and the edges are soft. One thing I would keep an eye out for is the negative space. The second one seems a little like it has been cut in half because the object is right it the middle and in the first one I would have moved it up just slightly more to the left corner so that very small negative space in that corner is gone & so her hair “flip” does not connect with the lower right hand corner. Just some thoughts!
